Meet the board
Frances Gunn works for CVS North representing the voluntary sector in North and West Sutherland. Frances is a director of several community trusts and groups which has involvement with heritage, arts, renewable energy, volunteering and community development. She also enjoys travel, reading and walking.
Jim MacGregor farms at Latheron Mains and is a director of Caithness Livestock Breeders Ltd. He has been a member of numerous voluntary groups and currently serves on Latheron Show Committee and also Latheron Lybster and Clyth Community Council. Outwith farming his hobbies include vintage cars and dancing.
David Flear started his career in Nursing and in 1972 moved to Residential Social Work. David was involved in all Services for Older people. He moved to Caithness as Principal Officer for Elderly and became Area Manager for Social Work in Caithness. During this time he attended Robert Gordon University and acquired B.A. in Community Care. David retired in 1998 and was elected to Highland Council in 1999 and was Depute chair of Social work for eight years and Area Convener of Caithness for four years. He is currently Chair of the Dounreay Stakeholder Group, a Director of North Highland Regeneration Fund and a Trustee of the Scottish Hydro Electric Trust.
